Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premi València 2024

Contested for the first time in 1969 and with 38 editions under its belt, the revamped Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 kicked off again in 2021 under the management of Club Ciclista La Marina. The event has been known by various names, initially named Gran Premio Valenciana (1969-1979) in its first 11 editions. After a one-year absence in 1980, the race was organized again in 1981, named Gran Premio Valencia (Trofeo Luis Puig), and continued uninterrupted until 2005. From 2005 to 2020, the event was on hold until Club Ciclista La Marina decided to revive this significant UCI race that always takes place at the beginning of the season, now known as Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana. It has had two editions, and in 2023, it has taken a step forward by upgrading to a 1.1 UCI Pro Series.
