Alassio, a picturesque town in Italy, welcomes cycling enthusiasts to the 11th edition of Gran Fondo Alassio on Sunday, 10th March 2024. Offering both challenge and charm, this cycling event caters to riders of all levels amid the breathtaking landscapes of Alassio.

Race Headquarters:
The membership verification, race packet distribution, and new registrations take place on Saturday (2:30 PM – 7:30 PM) and Sunday (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM) at the tent structure located in Piazza Partigiani.

Rules and Participation:

The 11th edition is open to all ACSI and F.C.I members, as well as those associated with Sports Promotion Bodies that have a convention for the year 2024.

Every participant must possess a valid sports medical certificate for competitive cycling. Foreign participants must have a certificate of fitness following the E model health certificate.

Italian participants without any license must request a daily pass. Foreign participants without a UCI license must self-certify possession of R.C. Insurance, making the daily pass non-mandatory.

The event, although open, is subject to the Organizing Committee’s discretion, and they reserve the right to accept or reject entries based on their judgment.

All participants acknowledge the risks and take responsibility for their participation.

E-Bike Event:
The short route of the 2024 edition is open to all types of E-Bikes compliant with legal regulations (E-ROAD / MTB). Any modification to their conformity is strictly prohibited.

Cancellation and Registration Withdrawal:
The race will proceed in any weather condition unless it poses a serious risk to participants’ safety or in cases of natural disasters. In such instances, participation fees won’t be refunded.

In case of withdrawal, the registration fee won’t be refunded. Notification before 8:00 PM on the Saturday of the preceding week allows the registration to be valid for the next edition.

Starting Grids:
Starting grids are categorized based on merit, guests, participants from the previous edition, and registration dates.

Note:
Starting ahead of the timing mats is not allowed. Participants without recorded timings on starting mats and the route will be excluded from the rankings.

Timing:
All Italian events timed by MySDAM, Krono Service, TDS, and Winning Time are managed with a single chip.

For those with MySDAM chips, a chip exchange is possible at the Chip Point by paying only for activation.

Medical and Mechanical Support:
Medical support includes ambulances with doctors and nurses. Mechanical support involves mobile units with tire-changing facilities. Spare parts are at the participant’s expense. A sweep service is available for rider and bike recovery.

Refreshments:
Refreshment points along the route are indicated in the race schedule.

Traffic Regulations:
Riders must adhere to traffic rules when overtaken by the “end of the race” vehicle.

Daily Membership:
For those without an annual ACSI, FCI, or CONI-recognized organization membership, a daily membership can be acquired for €10. It ensures insurance coverage and can be obtained on-site during registration.

Disqualifications and Penalties:
Disqualifications may occur for various violations, including using another participant’s bib, unauthorized bib transfer, or any severe misconduct affecting the event’s image.

Declaration:
By submitting the registration form, participants declare their compliance with medical requirements, membership, third-party liability insurance, acknowledgment of the regulations, and consent to the use of their images and data in accordance with privacy laws (Privacy Law no. 675 of 31/12/1996).
