Event Overview
Gravel Val d’Elsa 2026, formerly known as Gravel Castello di Monteriggioni, is the seventh edition of a non-competitive gravel cycling event in Tuscany, Italy. The event takes place from October 9–11, 2026, with the main gravel rides scheduled for October 10.
The start and finish are confirmed in the medieval town of Colle di Val d’Elsa, in the province of Siena. Riders explore the landscapes of Val d’Elsa and the surrounding Tuscan countryside, including Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, the Via Francigena, and the Montagnola Senese. The courses combine white gravel roads, unpaved sections, and secondary paved roads with low traffic.
Four routes are currently published for 2026: Corto (45 km / 700 m D+), Medio (82 km / 1,600 m D+), Lungo (133 km / 2,600 m D+), and Lungone (180 km / 3,900 m D+). Gravel bikes, MTB and e-bikes are permitted.
This is a cicloturistica, non-competitive event, with no final race classification.
