The MUP Bicycle Tour 2024, hosted by the League of Michigan Bicyclists, is set for July 5-12, 2024, and offers a unique cycling experience across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This year marks the 31st edition of the tour, celebrating over three decades of cycling through some of the most scenic and rugged landscapes in the region.

Participants will engage in a camping tour that features a variety of route options, including pavement routes and a selection of mixed surface and mountain bike options. The adventure starts and circles back to Manistique, MI, providing an immersive outdoor experience with overnights in camping sites and a special layover at the dorms of Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

The tour is well-supported, with services including meal provisions for each riding day, a mechanic available throughout the tour for minor bike adjustments, and a comprehensive SAG (Support and Gear) service to assist riders on the route. This event is not only a test of endurance but also an opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow biking enthusiasts in the picturesque settings of Michigan’s wilderness.
