The 2022 Paris-Nice race includes a 13.4km time trial in central France and a mountain race at the top of the Col du Turini，as well as a final 115km of hills around Nice.

The race, which lasts eight days, traditionally runs south from the French capital through Orleans, Montluçon and the eastern edge of the central massif to Aubagne on the Mediterranean coast near Marseille. And then around the hills behind Nice The last two stages.

Stage 7 from Nice to Col de Turini is only 155.4km long, but goes deep into the Alps-Maritimes and is considered the queen stage of the 80th Paris-Nice race.
