72 Sur les Pas de Raboliot BRM200 gravel and rookie 90 km gravel 2024

Embark on the BRM200 Gravel and Rookie 90 km Gravel adventure “In the Footsteps of Raboliot”!

Join us on March 3, 2024, in Fleury-les-Aubrais, France, for an exploration of the enchanting Sologne region and the scenic banks of the royal Loire River. This marks the fourth edition of the event, with over 500 enthusiasts registered. Widely recognized as the premier national road and gravel cycling event at the beginning of the season, “The Raboliot” has captured the attention of cyclists from across France.

For this edition, we’ve crafted exciting new routes to enhance your experience. We eagerly anticipate the participation of an even larger crowd in the Loiret region, located in the northern suburbs of Orléans.

Discover or rediscover the landscapes that inspired Maurice Genevoix and his legendary poacher, Raboliot. The 200 km routes will guide you along the Loire River, weaving through picturesque Sologne roads, bordered by woods, ponds, and charming farms. Be captivated by the beauty of residences nestled in the forest, including highlights such as Chambord, Petit Chambord, and the Cabane de Chambord. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Raboliot or other wildlife along the way.

The circuits pose no significant difficulties, featuring a positive altitude difference of approximately 1100 m. Gravel enthusiasts will find excitement in the 33 trail sections covering 107 km, where a bit of extra power will be welcomed.

For those seeking a less challenging experience, our 90 km gravel course offers 13 sections totaling 37 km. It’s an excellent opportunity for participants to test their abilities and perhaps consider long-distance races in the future.

The event will offer a warm welcome with refreshments at the start and finish, including the traditional apple tart—a homage to Sologne’s culinary heritage, notably the famous tarte tatin. Keep in mind that you’ll be on your own on the roads and trails, so come prepared.

Ample parking is available around the starting area, conveniently located less than two kilometers from the SNCF train station.
