Tour de France 2025: The Pinnacle of Road Cycling
The 112th edition of the Tour de France is scheduled from July 5 to July 27, 2025. This iconic race will commence in Lille and conclude in Paris, covering a total distance of 3,320 kilometers across 21 stages. The route will feature seven flat stages, six hilly stages, six mountain stages—including five summit finishes—and two individual time trials. Notably, the race will include challenging climbs such as Mont Ventoux and Col de la Loze.
History
The Tour de France, established in 1903, is the most prestigious road cycling event globally. The 2025 edition marks the first time since 2020 that the entire race will be held within France’s borders. This return to a fully French route is expected to bring a renewed sense of tradition and excitement to the race.
Race Overview

The first week will feature flat and hilly stages in northern France, providing opportunities for sprinters and breakaways. The final week will see the race move into the Alps, with summit finishes at Mont Ventoux, Col de la Loze, and La Plagne, culminating in the traditional finish on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.
