The 2022 Tour de Suisse will returns with an eight-day race, June 12-19 that covers all four linguistic regions of the nation plus an appearance in neighbouring Liechtenstein. And for the first time, a Tour de Suisse Women will be held from June 18-21.
The opening prologue that has been part of the Tour de Suisse has been replaced this year with a circuit race on Lake Zurich, beginning on Sunday, June 12 in Küsnacht. The race takes the peloton over the Jura and into central Switzerland in the first half of the race, and then crosses Ticino and Valais regions before landing in Vaduz, Liechtenstein for the finishing 26km time trial on stage 8.
For the 85th edition, all the teams on the UCI WorldTour will compete in the men’s Tour de Suisse. They will be joined by a Swiss Cycling Team and top-ranked ProTeam Alpecin-Fenix, while wildcard spots were secured by TotalEnergies from France and Human Powered Health from the US
