The traditional Women’s World Tour goes through the Cittiglio and completes a 17.8km race on a circuit around the city.The route to the finish is more open, suitable for the final sprint of the team riders.The loop line contains Orino and the short and steep Casalzuño.There is a steep mountain 300 meters from the finish, where the riders will make their final sprint.

The Trofeo Alfredo Binda is one of the oldest women’s competitions in history, and 2022 marks the competition’s 46th anniversary.The competition was established in 1974, the first title was won by Giuseppina Micheloni, the Belgian Nicolle Van Den Broeck won the second title in 1975, and the Italian won the championship for the next 20 years.Those winners included Maria Cunnings, who won the competition four times in 1984 and 1985, as well as in 1990 and 1992.
