HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Elitewheels came from humble beginnings. The company’s founders, Tony Tong and Jack Chen, were classmates studying engineering in 2009. During that time, the carbon fiber wheel, frame, and part industry was just taking off in China. In 2013, their love for cycling inspired them to team up and create something that fellow cyclists would love and enjoy.
In order to fulfill their goal of making the best quality, high-performance wheels possible, Tony and Jack made an important decision. They chose to make wheelsets from the ground up with as little outsourcing as possible. Cutting out the middle man means that we can not only pass the cost savings onto customers, but also ensure unmatched quality control. From carbon pre-preg production and hub machining and design, to carbon rim layup and wheel-building, Elitewheels is involved in making high quality, reliable carbon wheels every step of the way.

The two founders are always looking for ways to innovate. To this day, their philosophy has been to make quality wheels that any cycling lover can enjoy, regardless of their preferences. Bike tech is constantly improving, and Elitewheels is at the forefront of innovation and cutting-edge design.
