RIMS
At Elitewheels, we design our Marvel wheels to match the needs of recreational cyclists. As opposed to alloy rims found on most road bikes, Marvel wheels are stronger, stiffer, much more more aerodynamic and significantly lighter. In fact, wheels play the biggest role in aerodynamics on a bicycle. As opposed to reducing weight elsewhere, a lighter rim saves rotational weight, making for a more agile feel and faster accelerations.
SPOKES
Choosing the right spoke to build a wheel is essential. We specifically selected Pillar PA 1423 aero bladed spokes. They are cold forged making them strong, allowing them to be able to withstand over 300kgf of tension.
Optional Upgrade: (Sapim CX-Ray spokes) and (Pillar Wing 20) spokes can be substituted for an extra cost, saving more than 90 grams off the complete wheelset.
HUB
Marvel Disc wheels feature high flange hubs which offer greater lateral stiffness, improving stability. Both the front and rear wheel hubs feature ceramic bearings with an extremely low coefficient of friction, saving you precious watts. The front hub uses 6803 ceramic bearings and the rear hub uses three 6803 bearings and one 6903 bearing. The larger the bearing, the better the rigidity.
Marvel Disc wheels can also be upgraded to DT Swiss hubs upon request.
CERAMIC BEARINGS
The Marvel 50D’s front hub uses two 6803 mixed ceramic bearings. The rear hub uses one 6903 and three 6803 mixed ceramic bearings. These large bearings offer better durability over standard size ones. The use of large mixed ceramic bearings will allow you to have a more efficient bike, saving you precious watts.
TUBELESS IN MIND
All of our wheels are tubeless ready with tubeless rim tape pre-installed. Each rim features our unique tubeless R-angle design, allowing for easier mounting. To make mounting tubeless tires even easier, rims are designed with bead seat retention ridges making inflation possible with just a floor pump.

I’ve put over 10 000 km in the MARVEL 60 disc wheelset and had no issues so far, the bearings and the rims are still fine apart from a few scratches. At first I was using them in a Decathlon TRIBAN quick release disc brake bike, for which the company was kind enough to include the suitable endcaps for free, as well as thru-axle endcaps for later usage on my TRIFOX TA bike. The wheels are still true, and I’ve just switched to road tubeless without any major problem using the original rimtape and the included valves. Continental 28mm TLR tyres sit perfectly flush with the 29 mm wide rim sidewalls.
I would highly recommend the wheelset if you’re looking to enter into the world of carbon rims.

I have positive issues with the wheels, the wheels ride well and holdup well, the shipping container is of high quality, the clicker set is of high quality. I am a big guy and I have no worries with these wheels.
