RIM
The G36 rims feature a 25mm internal width, making them ideal for wider 700 x 30 – 55c tires. Wider tires allow for lower pressure operation, which improves comfort and traction while giving you greater confidence on rough terrain.
HUB
The Marvel G36 is equipped with our Kinetic hub, featuring two high‑engagement 50T (7.2°) star ratchets machined into a conical shape. This design increases the contact surface area, allowing torque to be distributed more effectively. The result is enhanced longevity and durability.
The Kinetic hub also incorporates a stronger spring, which reduces skipping and slipping under high load.
Both front and rear hubs utilize steel TPI bearings, delivering improved rolling resistance performance and saving you precious watts.
SPOKES
To make the G36 a true performance wheelset, we chose the Sapim CX-Ray spokes, a classic, all-rounder spoke known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, making it perfect for racing.
During the truing process, our wheelbuilders take special care to minimize spoke windup, ensuring the wheels stay true over time. After the initial truing, each wheel is side‑loaded, and the entire process is then repeated for maximum precision.
DURABILITY
At Elitewheels, we conduct all testing in – house. During the development phase, each wheelset undergoes more than 20 rigorous tests.
The Marvel G36 has flawlessly passed our 20,000km rough surface factory / laboratory test, which simulates real-world gravel riding conditions-far exceeding the EN 17406 test standard.

After seven months of intensive gravel riding, this wheelset has completely satisfied me! It has taken several hard impacts from rocks and potholes without any issues and has remained true. They are lightweight and work well with 45 mm tubeless tires. I’m more than happy with this wheelset!

I have the wheelset installed now for about a month and I am very, very pleased with it.
The delivery of the wheels only took about 2,5 weeks to the Netherlands (Chinese New year
included)!! Installing was a peace of cake. Just put on the cassette and the tyres. My
Schwalbe G-One Ultra bite 50mm tyres were very easy to install. Inflating the tubeless setup
was also not a problem even without a booster and I did not have to inflate them again yet.
The performance of the wheels is really good. I ride faster and more comfortable than
before. They also brought down the weight of my bike with more than 500 grams.!!
Before ordering I had some questions and they were answered quickly and correctly by
EliteWheels (even during Chinese New year) So I can definitely recommend buying a
wheelset at EliteWheels.

I had read about the wheelset in the internet, specs and price seemed about right for me (I bought the wheelset during black week sale and saved some percent). It took 5 weeks from order to delivery to Germany. The parcel tracking worked only when the parcel arrived in Europe (the first 2-3 weeks the status didnt change at all). The wheels make a very good first impression – the quality seems fine. Also after some first rides there is no regret, wheelset are light and add to a comfy ride on my gravel bike. I have a Cannondale Topstone 1(alloy) and the wheels it came with were giving me no end of problems.
Anyway after seeing a little bit on GCN about Elite wheels new gravel marvel G36 wheels I checked out the specs and decided the 25 mm internal width, carbon rims and quality steel spokes probably made a lot of sense to me. I also checked the YouTube reviews for other Elite wheels and after seeing the respected Hambini give a different set of Elite wheels the thumbs up I pushed the trigger during their Black Friday sale.
They took about a month to get to me, were easy to mount on my bike and after my first 50 km ride today I have to say I’m very satisfied so far with their performance. They are clearly light on the bike, comfortable, look great, and the noise from the freehub is just about right, loud enough for people to know you’re coming but quiet enough not to sound like a machine gun, all for a very fair price.
