Drive Six MTB

In order to push the limits of what a carbon wheel can do, Elitewheels has designed and built the Drive Six MTB from the ground up. The design was specifically chosen to offer something that performs as great as it looks. It truly is a one-of-a-kind wheelset that will turn heads.

With full carbon spokes, Drive Six MTB wheels provide a ride experience unlike any other MTB option out there. Each wheel has been designed to be robust and strong enough for only the stresses of XC riding.

*Instructions for the first assembly: Tubeless tires must be ridden for at least 25 km directly after the sealant is added so as to ensure they are air tight.

*Drive Six is also available for Gravel bikes.

*The Drive Six MTB wheelset has not been designed for eMTB riding. Please kind note that riding that goes beyond the scope intended for this wheelset will void its warranty.

The Drive Six MTB has stunning looks and excellent impact resistance due to the hookless design and spokes that are significantly stronger than steel counterparts.  Silver decals with hand-stacked marbling set the Drive Six wheels apart. The wheels are light and have the benefit of never needing truing!

RIM TYPE

With its hookless full carbon and tubeless rim, the Drive Six MTB is compatible with 1.95”-2.5” tires.

DRIVE SIX gravel hub

HUBS

The hubs of the Drive Six MTB are made of forged and machined 7075 aluminum, making them stronger. Fanuc CNC machines are used to precisely machine the hubs to increase the life of the bearings and reduce rolling resistance. The freehub uses a star ratchet mechanism that comes standard with 36 teeth. This allows for hassle-free freehub servicing.

Are these wheels suitable for eMTB riding?+

This wheelset has not been designed for eMTB riding. Through greater forces being applied to the drivetrain by the motor, eMTBs increase the stress placed on the components of a wheel. Any damage to the wheelset caused by eMTB riding is not covered under warranty.

Which brands’ freehubs are compatible with the Pro MTB hubs?+

The standard Pro hubs used in our MTB wheels are manufactured in Elitewheels’ factory. Ratchet freehubs are compatible.

Are other hubs available?+

Yes, both DT Swiss 350 and DT Swiss 240 hubs can be chosen instead of our Pro hubs at an additional cost. Both hubs are available in standard and boost sizes.

Are there both thru-axle and quick release skewer options?+

Yes. Our Pro hubs use 6-bolt by default. Quick release, standard, and boost thru-axles are all available.

Can Pro hubs be changed to center lock?+

It depends on the hub configuration. Pro Boost thru-axle MTB hubs are available in both 6-bolt and center lock options. Standard and quick release hubs are only available in 6-bolt.

What does the rider weight limit include?+

The rider weight limit includes the total weight of the rider, bike, gear, and any other accessories. Please do not exceed this weight.

What tire pressures should I run?+

The best tire pressure for you depends on many factors: the rim width, type of bike and tires, rider weight, road conditions and weather conditions. Please see our user guide for more information.

How strong are your carbon rims? What happens if I break one?+

Every one of our carbon rims has been strictly tested before shipment. We are so confident in the quality of our rims that we offer a 3-year warranty on every one. We also offer a crash replacement policy. To learn more, please refer to our warranty page.

    The Drive six mtb wheels are fantastic wheels that roll easily and are stiff. I have driven with a racing group on my special build gravel, we drove 80 km and averaged 37 km/h and the wheels roll super nicely. have mounted schwalbe G-one 29×2.36 slicks on them. It dont work to upload pictures on my bike🚴‍♀️
