Gravel Fondo – 135km:

Highlights:
First Hill: Reaching 369m ASL at 13km.
Major Climb: The climb at the 61km mark peaks at 958m ASL, with some sections over 10% grade.
Rolling Terrain: After the major climb, riders will navigate 57km of rolling and winding roads through picturesque valleys, including sections alongside Pages Creek.
Rest Stops: There are two rest stops along the route (at 42km and 86km) for refueling and hydration.
Target Pace: Riders are advised to aim for at least 18kph to complete the course in a timely manner.
Gravel Fondo – 75km:

Distance: 75km
Elevation Gain: 1,640m
Difficulty: While shorter than the 135km course, this route still features significant climbs and technical sections.
Highlights:
First Hill: Riders climb to 369m ASL at 13km, continuing to ascend to 523m ASL at 26km.
Rest Stop: Located at 42km, this is a key point for refueling before riders head back towards Gundy.
Final Climb: The last significant climb occurs at 52km, after which riders can enjoy a descent back to the starting point.
Unique Scenery: The route offers beautiful views of the Upper Hunter Valley and includes a mix of gravel roads and tarmac.

Strava Segments: Riders will be provided with Strava and Ride With GPS links, including GPX files, prior to the event. The area is not heavily trafficked, so while there are fewer Strava segments, key sections like the “goodnessgravel Gundy leg tester” and the “Will We Walk?” climb are available to test your limits.
