The fifth Grand Prix Doliny Baryczy took place on June 6th. The race is part of the UCI Europe Tour and is located near Wrocław. The 144 kilometer route was made more challenging this year due to strong winds and temperatures upward of 38°C/100°F.
The GP Doliny Baryczy is one of the more competitive races in Poland with Continental Teams participating. Some of Poland’s strongest riders, including Patryk Stosz and Pawel Cieślik entered the race, taking 3rd and 11th places respectively. Team Bialini EliteWheels RevoltTech’s own Grzegorz Pawlak achieved an impressively finished 5th overall. After the race, he remarked “It was not just successful for me, but for the entire team. It was a demanding race. The wind and heat took their toll.”
Pawlak was able to achieve this result due to joining a breakaway. His sense as to where to po sition and when to attack without a doubt gave him an advantage.
