Appenninica MTB Stage Race

The Appenninica MTB Stage Race is an exhilarating mountain bike competition that unfolds along the Apennine ridge between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. This race, taking place from September 2nd to 7th, 2024, is an individual (Solo) event featuring a general classification for both men and women, as well as age category rankings.

Renowned for its stunning trails and breathtaking ridgeline passages, the Appenninica MTB Stage Race is celebrated as Italy’s premier mountain biking event. The Emilia Romagna Apennines, with their unspoiled beauty and challenging terrain, provide the perfect backdrop for this demanding yet unforgettable experience, drawing participants from around the globe.

With over 400 km to be conquered and an altitude gain of approximately 13,000 meters across six stages, this race is not for the faint-hearted. Riders will face a rigorous challenge, but the reward lies in the incredible memories and the immense satisfaction of completing such a monumental feat.

The event kicks off with an inaugural stage, followed by a series of intense and thrilling stages, including one of about 90 km. Along the way, the hosting towns will warmly welcome participants, offering the finest in Italian hospitality and cuisine, adding a touch of local flavor to this world-class MTB race.
