Cadel Evans Great Ocean People Ride 2025

The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race – People’s Ride on Saturday, February 1, 2025, offers cyclists the chance to ride iconic routes through Victoria, Australia. Starting at Steampacket Gardens, Geelong, two courses are available:
Long Course: The Cadel Classic (124km)
Short Course: Cadel’s Hometown (59km)
Cyclists will experience a festival atmosphere at the Geelong Waterfront, passing landmarks like The Esplanade and Cunningham Pier. Riders on the long course will traverse the scenic routes of Barwon Heads & Thirteenth Beach, continuing to the world-famous surf coast at Torquay & Bells Beach. The long course also takes participants through the rural roads of Moriac and Ceres, tackling rolling hills and the Mount Moriac climb. The legendary Challambra climb, a staple of professional cycling, returns for 2025, providing an exhilarating challenge for long-course riders. However, riders can opt for a shortcut via Scenic Drive to skip this demanding climb.
This recreational ride celebrates the joy of cycling while offering spectacular views and physically demanding sections that cater to riders of all levels.
