Culpeper Cycling Century 2024

Blue Ridge Cyclery is thrilled to announce the launch of Blue Ridge Cyclery Events Promotions, LLC, which will kick off with the 2024 Culpeper Cycling Century and Tour on October 5th in Culpeper, Virginia. Now in its 17th year, this esteemed cycling event will feature 100-, 60-, and 30-mile routes through the scenic roads of Culpeper County. The start and finish will be held at the newly constructed Fieldhouse, thanks to continued support from Culpeper Parks and Recreation.

Shawn Tevendale, owner and founder of Blue Ridge Cyclery, expressed enthusiasm about taking over the event. “This is such a great event for us and so many of our local riders, how could we say no? With support from Culpeper Parks and Rec, CAMBO, and other local organizations, this is really Culpeper coming together to keep cycling alive in the area. BRC is excited to facilitate this.”

The creation of an events division within Blue Ridge Cyclery marks a natural expansion for the company, founded in 2010 in Charlottesville, VA. Alongside offering bikes, accessories, and services, adding cycling events gives Virginia riders more opportunities to engage in their passion. The Culpeper Area Mountain Biking Organization (CAMBO), known for maintaining mountain biking trails at Deer Springs Farm, will also contribute to the event’s success.
