Dorset Dirt 2024

Dorset Dirt 2024 invites cyclists back to the basics with an informal, no-fee, and self-guided ride through the scenic chalk ridges of Dorset. On September 1, 2024, riders will gather at Top o’Town car park in Dorchester for the annual tradition, starting together at 10 a.m. The route takes participants through the picturesque countryside near Piddlehinton, Cheselbourne, and along the Wessex Ridgeway to Buckland Newton, before climbing Batcombe Hill and returning via the high chalk downs. With no official organization or support, cyclists are encouraged to navigate independently, using GPS or smartphones, and to appreciate the tranquility and wildlife of the Dorset landscape.
