The Etna Marathon, scheduled for September 15, 2024, in Milo, Italy, marks its eighteenth edition. This prestigious event is organized under the auspices of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) and adheres to the guidelines set forth by the National Off-Road Technical Sector for 2024.
Participants can choose from several categories, including:
Marathon: A challenging race for experienced cyclists.
Gran Fondo: A longer route for competitive cyclists.
Escursione: A non-competitive ride designed for leisure cyclists.
E-Bike: An option for electric bike enthusiasts.
The event is open to both Italian and international participants who possess valid cycling licenses for 2024, issued by the FCI, UCI-affiliated federations, or recognized sports promotion bodies (UISP, AICS, ENDAS, ACLI, CSI, etc.). Amateur cyclists and non-licensed participants can join the Gran Fondo, E-Bike, or Escursione routes, provided they present a medical certificate confirming their fitness for non-competitive cycling.
