A celebration of cycling and the community On March 16, 2025, the Gran Fondo del Po, a prestigious cycling event that celebrates the cultural and natural beauty of Italy’s Po Valley, will invite cycling enthusiasts of all levels to take part in an unforgettable journey.

History: The Gran Fondo del Po has quickly become a beloved event in the cycling world, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Po Valley. The event, which aims to promote cycling in this picturesque region, has gained huge popularity among competitive cyclists and recreational riders alike. Rooted in the local community, the Gran Fondo del Po event aims to foster friendship and passion among cycling enthusiasts while also celebrating the stunning scenery along the Po River.

Tournament Overview: The Gran Fondo del Po competition is scheduled for March 16, 2025, and offers an exhilarating experience for participants of all skill levels. Riders can choose from a variety of routes suitable for different levels of difficulty, ensuring that experienced riders and novices can enjoy the riding fun. As well as sporting performance, the event emphasises community spirit, with enthusiastic spectators cheering and inspiring cyclists on the course as they pass through charming villages and beautiful countryside.

Route:

Departure point: CASTELLO ESTENSE Via Largo Castello toward Viale Cavour, train station. Vehicles must park in designated areas
08.00 – Access to the starting line begins
08.40 – Authorities greet the media
09.00 – Start of the Granfondo del Po

During the event, vehicle traffic will be temporarily closed from the starting car pass to the bike finish pass.
Competitors who are overtaken by an END OF RACE vehicle must continue the race as bicycle tourists and obey the rules of the highway under their personal responsibility.

Important! With the passing of the vehicles at the end of the event, calculated according to the minimum average speed foreseen in the timetable (24 km/h), the event is considered over and the vehicles appear on the route prepared by the organizer.
The latest arrival time is 3pm

09:00am – After the start of the race, a guide will accompany the non-runners and tell them the history and secrets of all the monuments. Departure from the Ferrara shop (guided tour costs 12€)

Arrival at Via Bacchelli: 10:50am
– Expected arrival at Granfondo del Po short route: 12:30pm – Expected arrival at Granfondo del Po long route: Latest time: no later than 3:00pm

Pasta party from 11:00am – only booked before March 11th, costs 10€

The deadline for online registration is Thursday 13 March at 18:00.
Register at the Secretariat on Saturday, March 15th. Last day to register!
Pick up your tech envelope and race pack on Sunday, March 16th. Registration is closed
Entrants who register on Saturday are not guaranteed a race pack or entry to the Pasta Party
