Katy Flatlands Century

The Katy Flatland Century 2024, hosted by the Northwest Cycling Club, is set to take place on Sunday, July 21, 2024. This iconic bike ride, known as one of the Houston area’s oldest, will kick off from Royal High School at 34499 Royal Road, Brookshire, TX 77423.

This fully supported ride offers five different distances/routes to cater to cyclists of all levels. Choose from a 24-mile route, a 44.5-mile route, a 51.7-mile route, an 82.2-mile route, or challenge yourself with the 103.8-mile century route.

Proceeds from the Katy Flatland Century support various cycling-related initiatives in the greater Houston area. Notably, the ride serves as a major fundraiser for Boy Scouts in the area, who volunteer at rest stops and the start/finish area. The success of the ride directly impacts the support given to the Scouts, highlighting the community-oriented nature of the event.

Beyond the Katy Flatland Century, the Northwest Cycling Club organizes weekly rides open to all cyclists, as well as cycling educational classes, skills clinics, and other cycling-related activities throughout the year. This commitment to community and cycling education is at the core of the club’s mission, made possible by events like the Katy Flatland Century and Bluebonnet Express.
