Here’s everything you need to know about these exciting races. Events and Registration Details 1. Group Depart RAT 1000 ITT Solo Self-Supported with Live Tracking and Official Time (for competitive riders) Cost: $0 Registration ends: October 6, 2025, at 11:59 PM CDT 68 spots left Riders in this event will follow Tour Divide-style self-supported rules, utilizing public services only. Riders must have live tracking for official time. 2 .RAT 1000 Mile Gravel Stage Party Start Time: 6:00 AM CDT Cost: $0 75 spots left This stage event offers a fun gravel race with group stages for those looking to enjoy the ride while still competing. 3.Mini RAT Group Depart Start Time: 6:00 AM CDT Cost: $0 75 spots left For riders not aiming to complete the full 1000-mile route. You can ride as much of the route as you wish. 4.RAT 1000 SSelf-Supportedrted Any Schedule Stuart Time: 6:00 AM CDT registration ends: September 29, 2025 ,at 11:59 PM CDT This solo self-supported option allows participants to ride the RAT 1000 course at their own pace without a set schedule. RAT 1000 Stages (Subject to Modification) The event features an 8-stage race across varied terrain, starting on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from Texarkana. Stage 1: 140 miles, 2852 ft elevation gain, ends in Paris (Saturday) Stage 2: 127 miles, 3700 ft, ends in Denison (Sunday) Stage 3: 141 miles, 4782 ft, ends in Henrietta (Monday) Stage 4: 125 miles, 2330 ft, ends in Vernon (Tuesday) Stage 5: 104 miles, 2417 ft, ends in Childress (Wednesday) Stage 6: 102 miles, 4511 ft, ends in Silverton (Thursday) (Camping only) Stage 7: 124 miles, 2188 ft, ends in Vega (Friday) Stage 8: 139 miles, 3333 ft, ends in Tucumcari (Saturday) Mini RAT Format For those not aiming for the full RAT 1000 miles, the Mini RAT offers a more manageable option. The Mini RAT Day 1 consists of 140 miles from Texarkana to Paris, and Mini RAT Day 2 continues for 110 miles from Paris to Rowlett Train Station. Tiny RAT A 150-mile out-and-back from Farmersville to Paris and back, utilizing the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT). Participants can socialize with RAT riders in Paris and challenge themselves with tough terrain. Race Rules and Information Self-Supported Event: Riders must provide their oood, water, and lodging (with some assistance from Trail Angels). Safety Rules: Adherence to state traffic codes is mandatory. Violations such as unsafe cycling, littering, or trespassing will lead to disqualification. No Drafting: Riders are not allowed to draft off each other, but light cooperation for safety purposes is acceptable. Registration Costs Free for Club Spinistry members.
