Servatius 2024

The Servatius Bikepacking Weekend 2024 is a thrilling three-day gravel adventure, taking place from September 6th to September 8th, starting and finishing in Maastricht, The Netherlands. This self-supported event invites cyclists to immerse themselves in the beauty of gravel roads, dirt tracks, and scenic campsites while enjoying good food, cold beer, and great company.

This year’s route revisits the essence of the original Servatius edition, exploring the Belgian Ardennes, German Eifel, and Dutch Heuvelland. Covering just over 300 kilometers spread across three days, the route promises an engaging mix of challenges and scenic delights.

Designed for beginner and intermediate bikepackers, the Servatius Bikepacking Weekend is not a race, allowing participants the freedom to ride solo or in groups. Riders are responsible for their own mechanical gear, camping equipment, and supplies. The organizers will provide a GPX file of the route, recommend scenic camping spots, and offer hot meals on the first and second nights.

The event kicks off on September 6th at 10:00 AM from a location in Maastricht to be announced, with the finish line set at Maastricht Saint Pietersberg on September 8th. Each day features distances of 90 to 130 kilometers and up to 1500 meters of climbing, mostly on scenic gravel roads and forest tracks. Participants can enjoy occasional breaks in villages with local amenities, with a hot meal and cold beer waiting at the end of each stage. The route will be unmarked, but a GPX track will be provided a few days before the event.
