La Terre dei Varano is a captivating three-day cycling festival set in Italy’s picturesque Marche region. This event welcomes cyclists of various skill levels and offers an array of challenges set against the backdrop of the scenic Sibillini Mountains National Park. Participants can enjoy the diverse trails, changes in elevation, and stunning vistas that the park has to offer.
Event Program:
Climbing Time Trial: Held on Friday, June 21, this challenge covers a 5.5 km route with a climb of 318 meters.
Sportive: On Saturday, June 22, riders tackle a more demanding course of 208 km, featuring a total ascent of 4098 meters.
Gran Fondo: The festival concludes on Sunday, June 23, with two distance options. Riders can choose between a 125 km route with 2486 meters of climbing or a 101 km route with 1691 meters of elevation gain. Notably, for Italian participants, this event doubles as the official Italian championship gran fondo, though it warmly welcomes international competitors as well.
