Tour de Tonka 2024, known as “MINNESOTA’S RIDE,” is a highly anticipated annual bike ride that has become a beloved tradition in the west metro community. Since its inception in 2006 with 819 riders, the event has grown significantly, attracting nearly 3,500 riders each year. Participants from over 166 Minnesota cities, 73 counties, and 42 states have joined in, solidifying Tour de Tonka’s reputation as “Minnesota’s Ride.”
Riders of all ages and abilities come together to experience the pure joy of cycling in a scenic and well-organized event. Whether you’re a family looking for a fun outing or a serious cyclist seeking a challenging ride, Tour de Tonka offers something for everyone.
More than just a bike ride, Tour de Tonka is a benefit for the community. The event partners with the ICA Food Shelf, allowing participants to make a positive impact through their ride. A portion of each registration fee is donated to the ICA, with over $83,000 raised since 2006. Additionally, riders can contribute by donating money or non-perishable food items on or before the ride day. The remaining proceeds support Minnetonka Community Youth Education and Early Childhood Programs.
