Two Volcano Sprint 2024

The Two Volcano Sprint (2VS) 2024 is an exhilarating single-stage, self-supported bicycle challenge set against the dramatic backdrops of southern Italy’s renowned volcanoes, Mt. Vesuvio and Mt. Etna. Scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 13, the event invites riders to traverse a diverse route that includes National Parks, rural mountain villages, Calabrese forests, and the breathtaking Amalfi and Cilento coastlines, as well as the Appenine mountain range.
Participants will start their journey at the base of Mt. Vesuvio, navigating one of eight parkour routes designed for this adventure. The race concludes with a celebratory finisher party on the evening of Friday, October 18, in Nicolosi.
True to the spirit of self-supported adventure, riders must complete the fixed GPX route unassisted, managing their own gear and resources while adhering to the race’s guidelines. GPS trackers are required to be active throughout the event, and while drafting is only allowed when riding in pairs, there are no monetary prizes. Instead, participants gain the satisfaction of testing their endurance, exploring Italy’s stunning landscapes, and supporting environmental and community-focused initiatives.
The Two Volcano Sprint is committed to eco-sustainability, with all entry fees, after tracker rental costs, contributing to an annual grant that supports projects aimed at nature preservation, environmental sustainability, and local economic growth.
