Participants can choose from several routes, each offering a unique adventure:
Through the Weerribben (104 km): This route takes cyclists through the breathtaking Weerribben-Wieden National Park, known for its serene waterways, lush nature, and charming villages like Blokzijl and Giethoorn. This scenic loop provides a tranquil escape into the heart of nature.
Round Drenthe (104 km): Heading east from Steenwijk, this route explores the distinctive Drenths landscape, characterized by its quaint villages, dense forests, and expansive fields. Riders will traverse cobblestone roads reminiscent of classic races like Paris-Roubaix.
Nijerbekoop Loop (90 km): This route winds through the Stellingwerven region, featuring forested areas and picturesque farmland. A segment of cobblestone roads adds a touch of historical charm and challenge.
Deventer-Holterberg-Lemellerberg (190 km): For those seeking a longer challenge, this route covers the Zwarte Water region, the IJssel River, and the rolling hills of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. Highlights include the climbs of Holterberg and Lemelerberg, offering both scenic vistas and a rigorous workout.
Oosterwolde Loop (90 km): Cyclists will navigate the scenic farmlands of West- and Ooststellingwerf, with a charming detour along the Tjonger River. The route includes a stop in Oosterwolde for a coffee break and delightful pastries.
