Team Introduction

China Glory – Mentech Continental Cycling Team was established in 2022 and has gained significant traction. The initial aim was to give Chinese riders the opportunity to compete on the world stage as well as to inspire young riders in China. They set their sights on getting a spot in the 2024 Olympic Games. The team accomplished this and more. In 2023, they managed four big stage wins and got the overall GC in three pro races. They are now a serious contender and are now among the top UCI Continental teams.

After their races in Europe, China Glory Cycling had just one more opportunity before the 2023 season. The final competition is the 26th Petronas Tour de Langkawi in Malaysia. The eight day event is as competitive as any other race they have participated in the last several months.

The Tour of Romania: China Glory Cycling’s Next Challenge

The Turul Romaniei officially began yesterday. The six-day race starts in Satu Mare and finishes in București. It commenced on the 6th and will finish on the 11th. The races prologue is a 2.1km sprint. Both stages 2 and 3 hilly stages. Stage 4 stands out as a mountain stage, and stage 5, just like the prologue, is a flat stage.

During the busy racing season, the two Chinese riders Xiangjing Lyu and Nazaerbieke Bieken took part in another kind of race.
